- Kentucky trailed South Carolina, 17-13, at the end of the first quarter.
- Four Wildcats scored in the first quarter, including Maddie Scherr, who drained a 3-pointer, and Eniya Russel, who made a floater, to create a 5-0 run in the middle of the first quarter.
- UK forced USC into five turnovers in the first 10 minutes.
- South Carolina went on a 14-0 run to take a 31-13 lead in the first four minutes and 31 seconds into the second quarter, which forced Kentucky to call a timeout.
- Out of the timeout, Kentucky had the ball and executed a three-point play for Saniah Tyler.
- The sophomore guard wound up being the lone scorer in the second quarter, later putting up a jumper and another deep 3-pointer in that period.
- Kentucky trailed South Carolina, 46-21, at halftime.
- Emma King scored on a jumper in the final five seconds of the shot clock on the first possession out of halftime, then South Carolina responded with a 10-0 run, forcing Kentucky into its third timeout of the game.
- USC outscored UK, 33-11, in the third quarter, as USC led UK, 79-32, at the end of the third quarter.
