Eight Kentucky Wildcats in 2024 NFL Playoffs
LEXINGTON, Ky. – Eight “NFL Cats” will be part of the National Football League playoffs, opening Saturday afternoon when Super Wildcard Weekend kicks off.
Four of those Kentucky Football alumni, Mike Edwards (Kansas City Chiefs), Za’Darius Smith (Cleveland Browns), Josh Paschal (Detroit Lions) and rookie Carrington Valentine (Green Bay Packers) are expected to be active as their teams play this Super Wildcard Weekend.
Darian Kinnard (Chiefs), Tashawn Manning (Baltimore Ravens), Quandre Mosely (Tampa Bay Buccaneers) and Logan Stenberg (Buccaneers) are on playoff-team practice squads.
Smith and the Browns will start Super Wildcard Weekend at the Houston Texans Saturday at 4:30 p.m. ET on NBC.
Edwards, who won Super Bowl LV with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, will be part of the Chiefs’ title defense kicking off at 8:10 p.m. ET, streaming exclusively on Peacock.
Valentine will make his Playoffs debut with the Packers at the Dallas Cowboys at 4:30 p.m. on Sunday on FOX. Paschal and the Lions will host the Los Angeles Rams at 8:15 p.m. ET Sunday on NBC.
The Bucs, who have Quandre Mosely and Logan Stenberg on their practice squad, host the Philadelphia Eagles at 8:15 p.m. ET Monday on ESPN.
