GRAND HAVEN, Michigan – On a breezy day on the banks of Lake Michigan, the Kentucky men’s golf team posted a 11-over-par 295 Tuesday to sit in ninth place with a round to play at the Folds of Honor Collegiate at American Dunes Golf Club in Grand Haven, Michigan. The Cats tee off in their final round starting at 8:30 a.m. Wednesday.
Graduate Alex Goff made a charge up the leaderboard, climbing 16 spots to a tie for fourth after firing a 2-under-par 69. With the Cats starting on the back nine, the Kings Mountain, North Carolina, native birdied his first four holes and bogeyed the par-4 16th before closing with a birdie on the par-5 18th for an opening-nine 32. He then bogeyed three holes while making one birdie to card his 58th career round of par-or-better.
Alex Goff vaults 16 spots up the leaderboard Tuesday, using six birdies, including this on the par-5 sixth, to shoot a 2-under 69 to sit in a tie for fourth. Cats sit eighth late in the day in round two.

Senior Campbell Kremer also played well, shooting a 1-over 72 to sit in a tie for 25th. The Louisville, Kentucky, native made birdies at the par-4 14th and par-4 third while dropping three shots on the day. Kremer is 3-under-par over his last 26 holes, responding strongly after a 7-over start through his first 10.
Redshirt freshman Solomon Petrie sits tied for 44th after a 4-over 75, while junior transfer Jansen Preston is tied for 51st after notching an 8-over 79 Tuesday. Rounding out the Wildcat lineup is freshman Michael Hake, who sits tied for 59th after an 8-over 79.
As a team, Kentucky sits in a tie for fourth in the field with 107 pars. Individually, Goff leads the field in par-5 scoring at 5-under while tallying nine birdies, tied for most in the 90-competitor field.
