2001 – Played in 19 games as a junior in the UK midfield… Only goal of the year proved to be one of the most significant of the 42 goals scored by the Wildcats in the 2001 season, as she dented the net at the 34:52 mark to earn the game-winning goal in a 4-2 first-round SEC Tournament victory over 18th-ranked Tennessee in Baton Rouge, La… Took five shots on goal.

Personal – Full name is Christal Gayle Mattingly… Born September 7, 1981… Parents are Bert and Martha Mattingly… Lists traveling with the American Ambassadors Soccer Team in Europe at age 14 along with scoring six goals in a game to tie the high school record for goals in a game as her most memorable moments in sports… Chose UK because it was one of her dream to play for the Wildcats and because it is close to home… Chose the Wildcats over Transylvania, Georgetown, and Butler… Hobbies include jet skiing, skiing, knee boarding, and other water activities.
