Tonie Morgan concluded the season as one of just two players in the nation averaging at least 13.0 ppg and 7.0 apg … She also concluded the season ranked first in the nation in total assists (286) and second in assists per game (7.94) … Her 286 assists also finished fourth on the SEC’s all-time, top-10 list … The Wildcat’s 754 career assists ranked third among all active players in all divisions at the end of the season … Her 5.7 career assists per game ranked fifth among all active players in all divisions at the end of the season … Morgan broke the single-season school record in assists with 214 through 25 games (and set the record at 286) … In fact, she also broke the single-season school record in apg (7.94) … The school record in apg was a more than 40-year-old school record, previously held by Patty Jo Hedges in 1982-83 (7.14) … She had 10 games with at least 10 assists on the season, including six against the SEC … It led DI on the season and marked the most games with at least 10 assists in a single season by an SEC player (10) since Texas A&M’s Curtyce Knox in 2016-17 (15) … She had three games with at least 11 assists and zero turnovers on the season, which was the most 11+ assists and 0 turnover games in the nation on the season … She became the first SEC player to have three games with at least double-digit assists and 0 turnovers in a single season since at least 2002-03 … She was the only player in the nation to have a 16-assist game, a 14-assist game and a 13-assist game on the season … Her 16 assist game also featured NO turnovers against USC Upstate on Nov. 12, 2025 … Her 16 assists tied the 43-year-old, single-game school record set by Patty Jo Hedges in 1982 … Her 16 assists tied for first in the nation at the end of the season … Overall in 2025-26, she led the team in scoring 11 times, in assists 34 times, in steals 13 times and in blocks twice … She had seven double-doubles, all on points and assists … She had 27 double-digit scoring games, including five 20+ point scoring games … On March 1, Morgan became the only SEC player – and the sixth Division I women’s player – to have at least 417 points and 245 assists in one regular season since at least 2002-03 … On March 4, Morgan became the second SEC player with at least 400 points and 250 assists in a single season (also LSU’s Tameka Johnson in 2003-04) … On March 6, Morgan became the only SEC player with at least 37 points and 24 assists in a single SEC Tournament … Morgan shot the game-winning, buzzer-beater, 3-pointer to help Kentucky upset No. 5 LSU in Baton Rouge on New Year’s Day … In that game, Morgan became the only DI women’s player since at least 2002-03 to have at least 24 points, 12 assists and 0 turnovers against an AP Top Five opponent … She became just the second DI women’s player since 2002-03 to have at least 24 points and 12 assists in a true road game against an AP Top Five opponent (also Iowa’s Caitlin Clark at No. 2 Ohio State on Jan. 23, 2023) … She became the first UK player since at least 2002-03 to have at least 24 points and 12 assists in a single game.

Tonie Morgan, a 5-9 senior guard from Tallahassee, Florida, played the last three seasons at Georgia Tech … During her time as a Yellow Jacket, she played 96 games and made 95 starts, combining for 1,261 points, 543 rebounds, 468 assists and 116 steals, along the way becoming a three-time, all-conference team talent… Her 4.9 career assists per game were ranked 12th among active NCAA Division I women’s basketball players at the conclusion of 2024-25, while she was one of three non-seniors in that top 12 … Morgan is coming off her junior season, where she averaged 13.7 points per game, shot 48.9 percent from the field, grabbed 4.5 rebounds per game, dished out 5.6 assists per game and forced 1.0 steals per game … For her efforts, she was named to the 2024-25 All-Atlantic Coast Conference Second Team for the second time in her college career … Her 5.6 assists per game last season were ranked 19th in the nation at the conclusion of 2024-25 … Morgan guided Georgia Tech to a 22-11 record last season, which included three Associated Press Top 25 triumphs … She earned career highs in numerous categories on the year, including 31 points and 12 field goals at Stanford on March 2 and 14 assists against Clemson on Jan. 19 … In that same game against the Tigers, she earned her first triple-double – 14 assists, 12 points, 12 rebounds – becoming the first Yellow Jacket to record a triple-double since 2002 … Prior to last season, Morgan averaged 15.6 ppg, 6.8 rpg, 5.2 apg and 1.6 spg as a sophomore to become a 2023-24 All-ACC Second Teamer and averaged 9.8 ppg, 5.6 rpg and 3.8 apg as a freshman to be named to the 2022-23 ACC All-Freshman Team … Morgan attended Florida State University Schools prior to her college career, playing six varsity seasons at Florida High … She was tabbed the 24th-ranked prospect out of high school by ESPN Hoopgurlz.
