Taylor Pitts enters her first season as the athletic trainer senior associate for the University of Kentucky women’s basketball program in 2026-27.
She has eight years of professional experience since earning her bachelor of science in athletic training from Aquinas College in 2018.
Pitts arrives in Lexington after four seasons as an associate athletic trainer at Mississippi State from Summer 2022 to Spring 2026, primarily working with women’s basketball. There, she led all aspects of sports medicine care for the program, including injury evaluation, rehabilitation and return-to-play progressions. Also in Starkville, she spent one season in the same role with track and field in 2022-23.
Before her stint with the Bulldogs, Pitts served one season as an assistant athletic trainer for softball and women’s soccer at Oakland University in 2021-22 and prior to that served 10 months as an athletic trainer for women’s basketball and women’s soccer at Presbyterian College in 2021. She also had a full season as an athletic trainer certified intern for track and field at Campbell University in 2020-21 and two full seasons as a graduate assistant athletic trainer at Iowa Central Community College in 2018-19 and 2019-20.
Pitts received her bachelor of science in athletic training from Aquinas College in 2018, where she also was a member of the track team, participating in the long jump and triple jump, before earning her master of science in organizational management from Wayne State College in 2020.
