Hannah Orens, former Virginia Tech women’s basketball manager (2022-23, 2023-24), was hired as the University of Kentucky women’s basketball graduate assistant in Spring 2024. She enters her fourth season under head coach Kenny Brooks and her second season as the Kentucky women’s basketball’s graduate assistant in 2025-26.

In her role as Kentucky women’s basketball’s graduate assistant, she assists with the day-to-day operations of the program, including but not limited to organizing and distributing gear and equipment and overseeing a sharp student manager staff. During her time as a student manager at Virginia Tech, she performed similar responsibilities, as the Hokies won the 2023 Atlantic Coast Conference Tournament and reached the 2023 Final Four and won the 2024 ACC Regular Season.

Orens earned her undergraduate degree in biomedical engineering from Virginia Tech in 2024. She is currently working on her master’s in public health and is pursuing a career in engineering.
