Major – Elementary Education

1998-99 – One of UK’s top returning sprinters… Member of UK’s 200 medley and 400 freestyle record setting relays…Swam one leg of the UK 200 and 400 freestyle relays that made the NCAA “B” time standards… Competed at the NCAA Championships on the 200 and 400 freestyle relays… Finished 12th in the 50 freestyle, 18th in the 100 backstroke, and 19th in the 100 freestyle at the SEC Championships… Placed fourth in the 50 freestyle and ninth in the 100 freestyle at Nike Cup… Won the 50 freestyle against LSU and Texas A&M… Captured the 100 freestyle against USC… Won the 100 freestyle against Cincinnati… Named honorable mention Academic All-American.

1997-98 – Selected as All-American in 200 freestyle relay… Helped break two UK relay records in 200 and 400 free… Swam 100 free and 200 and 400 freestyle relays at NCAA Championships… Team finished third in 200 and 400 free relays at SECs… Also at SECs, finished seventh in 100 free… Finished 54th in 100 free at NCAA Championships.

Pre-College – Won Pennsylvania state title in the 50 freestyle as a senior… Finished third in the 100 freestyle at the state championships as a senior… Won three consecutive state team titles with North Allegheny High School… Finished ninth in the 50 freestyle a the 1996 Junior Nationals… Swam the 50 freestyle at the 1996 Summer Senior Nationals…. Swam for Coach Dave Schied on the Allegheny North club team.

Best Times – 50 freestyle – 23.58; 100 freestyle – 50.98; 100 backstroke – 57.95.
