Prior to UK: Gilles Monti is an experienced and accomplished goalkeeper from Switzerland who brings leadership, composure, and a strong presence between the posts. A confident shot-stopper with excellent command of his penalty area and the ability to organize the defense, Gilles has developed through the Swiss football system and gained valuable experience competing at a high level throughout his career. He is known for his consistency, professionalism, and calm decision-making under pressure. Throughout his career, Gilles has represented several clubs in Switzerland, continuing to progress and establish himself as a reliable goalkeeper in competitive senior environments. Most recently, he has competed for FC La Chaux-de-Fonds, where he has continued to showcase his experience and quality as a goalkeeper. His years of playing in the Swiss game have helped him develop strong leadership qualities, game management skills, and a deep understanding of the position.

Off the field, Gilles is committed to his personal and professional development and plans to pursue an Undergraduate Certificate in Leadership at the University of Kentucky. His dedication to growth both on and off the field reflects the values we look for in our student-athletes.
