Prior to UK: Joins Kentucky from Serie D club Trestina, the top level of Italy’s non-professional football pyramid. Competing in one of the most competitive environments for young defenders in Europe, he developed his game against experienced and technically skilled opponents. His time in Italy has shaped him into a reliable and intelligent defender who reads the game well, wins duels, and brings leadership qualities to the back line.

Bernardo is pursuing his Undergraduate degree in Business at the University of Kentucky. He is eager to grow as both a student and a player in a competitive collegiate environment, and he’s excited about the opportunity to challenge himself in a new setting while working toward his long-term goals.
