Named to the SEC Academic Honor Roll … Posted a 6-1, 7-6 win over Elys Ventura of Missouri in singles competition … Recorded an 8-9 record in doubles competition during the entire season, including a 6-8 mark in SEC play … Teamed up with Lesedi Jacobs to defeat Notre Dame, Alabama, Missouri, Texas A&M, Tennessee, Florida, and Mississippi State in regular-season action …. Partnered with Carla Girbau to best Polina Kozyreva and Sofya Treshcheva of Syracuse, 6-2, as UK defeated the Orange in the opening round of the NCAA Championships … Registered three wins in the SEC Challenge during the fall, including a singles competition victory versus Alabama’s Sydney Riley 2-6, 6-2, 6-2 … In the fall season, combined with Salsa Aher to record wins over Auburn and Vanderbilt at the June Stewart Invitational.

Senior (2019-20)
Put together a 6-1 mark in singles and a 4-1 mark in doubles (paired with Carlota Molina and Carla Girbau) during fall action … Competed at the Wildcat Invite, Ohio Valley Regional Championships and the Kentucky Invite during the fall … Tkachenko was one of three teammates to go unbeaten in their final fall tournament at the Kentucky Invite, winning three singles matches and three doubles matches (round-robin, hidden-dual format) … Tkachenko and freshman teammate Carlota Molina did not drop a doubles match together during the fall, going 3-0 … Tkachenko had an impressive start to the dual season, recording an 11-3 singles record, including a 2-1 singles mark in the conference, playing mostly on the sixth court … In doubles during the dual season, she put together a 10-4 doubles record, including a 4-0 mark in the conference … Paired with redshirt junior Lesedi Jacobs, the duo recorded an 8-1 doubles mark during the dual season, including going 4-0 in the conference, competing mostly on the third doubles court … Season was cut short on Thursday, March 12 due to the COVID-19 public health threat … Named to the SEC Spring Academic Honor Roll.

In dual meets this season, put together a 13-6 mark in singles, competing in the Nos. 3, 4, 5 and 6 slots, and meanwhile, recorded a 5-4 mark in singles during league action … In the No. 6 post during dual meets, she compiled a 10-6 mark overall … In doubles, Tkachenko reported a 11-8 record, mostly competing in the No. 3 post … Near the end of the season, began pairing with Lesedi Jaccobs on the third court, earning 5-2 mark and a 4-1 mark in league action … The pair defeated one ranked duo in No. 37 Summer Dvorak and Fernanda Contreras on a 6-3 mark … Named to SEC Spring Academic Honor Roll.

Played for the Wyoming Cowgirls … Began her career with a 5-3 overall record in the fall … Her first career victory came against Celine Voss of Colorado State (10/1/16) … Had two three-match winning streaks during the fall … She went 22-6 overall, 17-3 in dual play and 4-0 in MW action during her freshman campaign … Had a 14-match winning streak that went from Feb. 5-April 28 … In doubles, she went 21-10 with four different playing partners … She and Dorottya Jonas finished 15-6 overall and 14-4 in dual play.

Prior to UK
Joined the Wyoming program after a very successful career in singles and doubles on a Russian tennis tour … In 2015, she won two Level 5 ITF doubles championships and was seventh at the U18 Russia Championships … Placed second in singles at the Level 5 ITF President’s Cup the previous year, while winning the U16 doubles title in 2013 … Had a national ranking of 49th and an ITF ranking of 900 … She was selected the 2015 best sportsman at UGRA Boarding School … Tkachenko was coached by her father, Alexey.

Personal
Parents are Alexey and Ludmila Tkachenko … Has two siblings, Artem and Diana … Twin sister Diana also plays for the UK women’s tennis team … Holds dual United States and Russian citizenships.
