Made 13 starts as the Wildcats’ top weekend starter…Went 4-5 with a 4.76 ERA in 75.2 innings…Struck out 71 and walked only 15… Had nearly 5:1 strikeout-to-walk ratio…Logged eight quality starts…Named inaugural SEC Newcomer of Week after his virtuoso performance vs. Missouri on Mar. 19 – 7.0 IP, five hits, one run, 10 strikeouts…In first three road SEC starts went 2-0 with 2.45 ERA (22 IP, 6 R, 2 BB, 18 K)…On Apr. 16 at Georgia he twirled 8.0 innings of one-run baseball with eight strikeouts in his home state…Set the tone for road series sweep at Auburn with 7.0 innings of two-run ball…In his first nine starts he struck out 53 against just six walks…Closed his season with seven terrific innings at national runner-up Vanderbilt…In two starts against the final two teams standing at College World Series (Mississippi State and Vanderbilt), both on the road, he allowed just five runs in 14.0 innings with two walks and 10 strikeouts.
