Lexington, Ky. – The Kentucky women’s soccer team (8-5-3, 4-2-3 SEC) took down the Ole Miss Rebels (7-10-0, 0-9-0 SEC) at the Bell Soccer Complex on Friday, Oct. 23. The Wildcats advance to a 4-2-3 record in conference play with 15 points, punching their ticket for the 2026 SEC Women’s Soccer Tournament in Pensacola, Fla.
Kentucky made a statement quickly, getting on the board within the first three minutes. It was junior forward Kendall Campbell who found the back of the net first for the Wildcats. In the 3rd minute, the California native headed the ball in after a deflection from Ole Miss.
The Wildcats added to their advantage only five minutes later. Off an assist from freshman Elise Ernest, junior forward Lexi Tylenda knocked in another goal for Kentucky, her second of the season.
Also recording her second goal of the season was sophomore Rayna Powers, who found the back of the net in the 20th minute. Additionally, Powers provided a perfectly placed feed to freshman Dani Chaump. In the 33rd minute, Chaump contributed the header that put the Wildcats up 4-0 at the half.
Kentucky maintained the four-goal advantage until time expired, logging the team’s fourth shutout of the season. Sophomore goalkeeper and reigning SEC Co-Defensive Player of the Week, Megan Holland, posted two saves on the night, bringing her season total to 52.
The Wildcats outshot the Rebels 12-6 and held the 7-3 edge in corner kicks. Tonight’s victory was Kentucky’s first victory over Ole Miss since 2015, when the Cats nabbed the 4-2 victory on the road. The all-time series record is now 12-14-2.
Kentucky secured three more points in the SEC Standings, clinching the team a spot at the 2026 SEC Women’s Soccer Tournament in Pensacola, Fla., at the Ashton Brosnaham Soccer Complex on Nov. 8-15, 2026. This will be the Wildcats’ fourth consecutive appearance at the tournament.
