Brooklyn DeLeye, Molly Tuozzo Win SEC Weekly Honors

LEXINGTON, Ky. – After a historic win over No. 3 Louisville on Sunday afternoon on ABC, two Kentucky Volleyball players were honored by the Southeastern Conference as players of the week, the league office announced Monday. Brooklyn DeLeye was named the SEC Player of the Week overall and the SEC Offensive Player of the Week with senior libero Molly Tuozzo voted as SEC Defensive Player of the Week.

Senior outside hitter Brooklyn DeLeye went for a season-high 22 kills in Kentucky’s win over No. 3 Louisville. DeLeye had 22 kills on 52 swings, hitting .267 with only eight errors on the left and combined with her 11 digs in the match, marked her third double-double of the season and second in the last three matches. DeLeye also had a pair of aces, including on match point to seal the victory over the Cards.

Libero Molly Tuozzo had her fifth-career 20-plus dig match Sunday afternoon and first of the 2026 season as she recorded 21 digs in a 3-1 win over No. 3 Louisville. Tuozzo helped Kentucky’s floor defense hold the Cards to only .103 and .273 in the final two sets of the match and Tuozzo also logged seven assists on out-of-system balls as the Wildcats had many kills in transition thanks to her assists. Tuozzo now has 10-plus digs in every match this season for Kentucky except one.

Kentucky’s season hits the second stanza Wednesday night as it opens SEC play at Memorial Gymnasium at 9 p.m. ET on SEC Network against the Vanderbilt Commodores. Vandy is 9-0 on the season, receiving votes in the AVCA top-25 rankings, No. 2 in the unofficial RPI and coached by former UK assistant Anders Nelson.
