Men’s Basketball Conference Opponents Unveiled for 2026-27

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – Additional pieces to the 2026-27 Kentucky men’s basketball schedule were unveiled by the Southeastern Conference on Thursday. The Wildcats are slated to play all 15 league foes at least once and will tangle with Ole Miss, Tennessee and Vanderbilt in home-and-home fashion.

The league office debuted the 2026-27 home-and-away designations for the league schedule which once again features an 18-game slate. Kentucky will play nine games within the friendly confines of Rupp Arena at Central Bank Center and play an equal number of games on the road.

This season, the Wildcats will take on Ole Miss, Tennessee and Vanderbilt in a home-and-home series. It will extend two of the longest-played series in the nation with multiple dates against the Volunteers and Commodores. Kentucky and Ole Miss will meet multiple times in the regular season for the first time since 2013-14.

Kentucky’s league home schedule will include the three aforementioned teams as well as Alabama, Arkansas, Auburn, LSU, Texas A&M and South Carolina. UK’s road matchups will include Florida, Georgia, Mississippi State, Missouri, Oklahoma and Texas.

Times, dates and television information will be announced at a later date.

UK’s home-and-home slate features three intriguing matchups. Kentucky has played Tennessee more than any other program in its history and owns a 165-79 all-time record after taking both regular-season meetings a season ago. Kentucky has swept the Volunteers during the regular season in three of the last four seasons. UK has won four straight in Knoxville, Tennessee. It’s the longest road winning streak in the series for the Cats since UK took four in a row from 2003-06.

Kentucky leads the all-time series with Vanderbilt 159-51. The teams split their meetings a season ago, with both teams winning at home for the second straight year. The Wildcats are 88-16 against VU in Lexington.

UK is 112-15 all-time against the Rebels. The Wildcats earned a 72-63 win at home this past season to improve to 58-2 against Ole Miss in Lexington.
