Wildcats Conclude 2025 Season on Final Day of NCAA Championships

EUGENE, Ore. – The 2025 season came to an end on Saturday night at Hayward Field in Eugene, Ore. for the Kentucky Wildcats track and field team with the conclusion of the final events of the NCAA Outdoor Championships.

In the finale of the women’s season, Sophie Galloway closed out her senior season in the triple jump final, finishing 24th with a final distance of 12.42m/40-9.

Overall, the Kentucky women’s team finished the 24-25 season with five school records and three freshman records, five of which were broken by freshman Janet Jepkemboi Amimo in the indoor and outdoor 800m and the outdoor 1500m. The Wildcats also posted 16 top 10 marks during the outdoor season.

During yesterday’s events, Kentucky concluded the men’s season with four First Team All-American finishes, led by Carlie Makarawu winning his second NCAA title of 2025 in the 200m final, running a school record time of 19.84. The men’s squad posted the best outdoor finish in program history, finishing with a share of eighth place with Florida and Ole Miss with 22 points.
