UK Track and Field Closes Out Drake Relays on Saturday
DES MOINES, Iowa – Another meet of the 2025 outdoor season is in the books, as the Kentucky Wildcats track and field team concluded competition today at the Drake Relays in Des Moines, Iowa.
Kentucky featured in just five total events on the final day in Des Moines but continued to dominate the leaderboard in the women’s hurdles events by adding two more top place finishes to the weekend’s results.
The Wildcats began the day just as they did yesterday by winning the women’s shuttle hurdles relay with a 54.31 time. In the second event of the day, senior Alexis Glasco made it two wins in two for UK with a top-place finish in the women’s 100m hurdles. The Cats also placed two other runners inside the top three, including Emmi Scales placing second with a time of 13.37 and Camden Bentley finishing third at 13.44.
In the final event of the day, the women’s 4x400m relay team capped off the weekend with a second-place finish and 3:35.24 mark.
Starting next weekend, the Wildcats will begin a two-meet homestand to close out the 2025 regular season, starting with the Jim Green Invitational on May 2-3 at Shively Track and Field Stadium in Lexington, Ky.
