Emma Grome Named SEC Co-Setter of the Week

LEXINGTON, Ky. – Kentucky Volleyball setter Emma Grome was named the Southeastern Conference’s co-setter of the week after a win over No. 15 Florida Gators on Sunday afternoon. Monday marks the 18th time that Grome has won the setter of the week award in her illustrious career as a Wildcat.

Grome passed Madison Lilley on Friday night with her 57th-career match of 40-plus assists as she went on to log 50 assists in the match. Grome recorded 10.67 assists per set on the weekend with a double-double, her third of the season, Sunday afternoon in Gainesville as the Wildcats beat the Gators in a top-15 showdown.

Grome had 46 assists Sunday afternoon to go along with 11 digs. Grome now has six matches this season with 40+ assists.

Kentucky will play Oklahoma on Wednesday night inside Historic Memorial Coliseum at 8 p.m. ET live on SEC Network and the ESPN app with Eric Frede and Missy Whittemore on the call from Lexington. It will be the SEC home opener for the Wildcats inside the newly-renovated Historic Memorial Coliseum.
