UKTF Signs All-American Transfer Tesa Roberts

LEXINGTON, Ky. – Kentucky track and field has signed All-American transfer Tesa Roberts, Head Coach Lonnie Greene has announced.

The grad transfer sprinter reigns from Chicago, Illinois, and spent the last four seasons at the University of Iowa before entering the portal.

In her four collegiate seasons with the Hawkeyes, Roberts has appeared in the 200 meters, 300 meters, 400 meters, 600 meters, and both the 4×100 and 4×400 meter relays.

Roberts found success in the 4×400 meter relay while in Iowa City, anchoring the group to multiple medals finishes at the BIG Championships in 2021 and 2022. She earned First-Team All-American honors when she anchored the 4×400 meter relay group to an eighth-place finish at the 2022 NCAA Indoor Championships. She leaves the program having set school records in both the 4×400 meter relay and distance medley relay while boasting multiple times that rank in the top 10 all-time at Iowa.

Prior to college, Roberts won multiple state and regional titles for her club track team in the 400 meters. She was a four-time state track meet qualifier and holds a third and fifth-place finish in the 1600 meters at the 2019 and 2018 USATF Junior Olympics respectively.
