Bryanna Lucas Selected to SEC Community Service Team

LEXINGTON, Ky. – Kentucky track and field student-athlete Bryanna Lucas has been selected to the Southeastern Conference Track and Field Community Service Team.

The SEC sponsors community service teams for all 21 league sponsored sports. The Community Service Team looks to highlight an athlete from each school who gives back to their community in superior service efforts.

Lucas, a senior from Louisville, spent her school year working closely with the Big Brothers Big Sisters Lexington chapter. Lucas contributed over 25 hours of community service assisting with nurturing and teaching of young children in the community including spending about three hours a day with her “little sister” doing various educational and recreational activities.

Lucas earned three personal bests this season in the 600 meters, mile run, and 800 meters and scored a point for the women at the SEC Outdoor Championships alongside six top-10 finishes.
