The Wildcats will sport a lineup they have used already this spring, including Laney Frye (70.4), Jensen Castle (73.2), Cathryn Brown (72.6), Marta López Echevarría (74.7) and Marissa Wenzler (73.2). The lone time the Cats have used that lineup this season, they earned a 2-under tournament total at the UCF Challenge in Orlando, Florida, on Feb. 4-6. Through six tournaments this season, it remains the second-best tournament total in 2023-24.

The Darius Rucker Intercollegiate will play host to 17 teams, featuring 11 teams in the top 25 and six teams in the top 10. In fact, 16 of the 17 teams are ranked in the top 50 in the nation, including No. 33 Kentucky.

The teams in the field are host No. 5 South Carolina, No. 32 Alabama, No. 20 Arizona State, No. 6 Arkansas, No. 11 Auburn, No. 63 Baylor, No. 18 Duke, No. 28 Georgia, No. 33 Kentucky, No. 4 LSU, No. 30 Mississippi State, No. 12 Northwestern, No. 37 Ohio State, No. 9 Oregon, No. 7 Texas, No. 21 Vanderbilt and No. 2 Wake Forest.

The Wildcats are sporting a 290.2 scoring average through six tournaments and 17 rounds this season. They have three finishes inside the top five, while they’re coming off their best finish of the season, tying for second place on a 1-under tournament total at the NEXUS Collegiate in Nassau, Bahamas, two weeks ago.

Frye, a senior from Nicholasville, Kentucky, has led the team in stroke average and on the leaderboard all season. The All-America currently owns a 70.4 stroke average through the six tournaments and 17 rounds this season, which is half a stroke better than the single-season school record she set in 2022-23 (70.9).

From one Bluegrass native to another, Brown is a freshman competing in the lineup for just the second time in her college career. In her debut, she turned in scores of 70, 76 and a career-best 69 to record a 1-under tournament total for a share of 21st place at the UCF Challenge. The Eddyville, Kentucky, native also competed as an individual at the NEXUS Collegiate, forming a 5-over tournament total for a tie for 11th place.

Brown is second on the team in stroke average with a 72.6.

The field can expect mostly sunny skies and temperatures as high as 69 degrees Monday and Tuesday, while showers are likely for the final round Wednesday.
