Kentucky Looks to Keep the Good Vibes Going vs. Lipscomb

by UK ACPR

The Kentucky baseball will stay in Lexington on a weekend for the first time in the 2024 season when it welcomes a Lipscomb club predicted to win its conference. First pitch is at 4 p.m. ET on Friday at Kentucky Proud Park, 1 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday.

All three games will stream on SECN+.

UK defeated Western Kentucky on Tuesday night, blanking the Hilltoppers 5-0 for the Wildcats’ second shutout in their first eight games. UK has eight such shutouts since the beginning of the 2023 season. Offensively, it was not a Picasso but redshirt freshman Austin Fawley hit a home run for his first collegiate hit and became the seventh different UK player to homer this season.

UK will keep its weekend rotation intact, starting righty Travis Smith on Friday, lefty Dom Niman on Saturday and righty Mason Moore on Sunday. UK currently has 11 relievers who have not yielded an earned run.
