Gymnastics to Host BYU for Friday Pajama Party
LEXINGTON, Ky. – No. 5 Kentucky gymnastics (6-2, 4-1 SEC) will host No. 28 Brigham Young University (6-8, 1-2 Big 12) for a 7 p.m. EST matchup in Rupp Arena at Central Bank Center for a Pajama Party.
The Wildcats are coming off a home win over No. 14 Missouri, 197.350-196.600. Kentucky set a new program best on the floor exercise, 49.750, to close out the night as fifth-year senior Raena Worley earned her 25th career all-around title. The previous floor best, 49.650, was set in 2014 and tied at this year’s Excite Night.
BYU enters Friday’s competition following a second-place 196.250 finish at the Oklahoma Quad Meet competing against No. 1 Oklahoma, Utah State and Texas Women’s.
Friday’s meet will be the first time BYU has competed against the Wildcats in Lexington, Ky. and at Rupp Arena.
The first 250 kids will receive custom sleep masks upon entry as fans are encouraged to dress to fit the theme – Pajama Party. QR codes will be posted in the lobby and big screens to enter giveaways for custom UK gymnastics pajama pants and American Girl Dolls.
