Team Records and Series Notes

  • Kentucky is 12-3 on the season, ending a six-game winning streak. UK is 2-1 in the Southeastern Conference.
  • Texas A&M is 10-6 overall, 1-2 in league play.
  • UK leads the series 13-5, ending four straight wins by UK over TAMU.
    • UK leads 5-3 in games played in Bryan-College Station.

  • Rob Dillingham had 15 points, including a trio of 3-pointers late in regulation that helped send the game to overtime. He also had four assists.
  • Reed Sheppard had 13 points, six rebounds, three assists and three steals.
  • Playing a career-high 44 minutes, Tre Mitchell notched eight points, 13 rebounds and six assists.
    • It is his fifth straight game with double-digit rebounds and he has had at least four boards in every game this season.
  • Player a career-best 31 minutes, Ugonna Onyenso had a season-high seven points, tied his career high for rebounds with 10 and set a career best with five blocked shots.

In the First Half

  • With Bradshaw picking up two early fouls, Ugonna Onyenso was UK’s first substitution with 17:22 remaining.

In the Second Half

  • Kentucky began the second half with the starting lineup.
  • UK had its largest lead at 65-58 at the 12:14 mark but the game tightened quickly.
  • Tied at 76 with four minutes left, TAMU’s Wade Taylor and UK’s Dillingham each hit three 3-pointers to leave the score tied at 87 with a minute to go.
  • TAMU was called for offensive goaltending with 28 seconds remaining.
  • After a UK turnover, TAMU’s Tyrece Radford made two foul shots with 7.8 seconds left.
  • Dillingham missed a 3-pointer but Sheppard was fouled on the rebound with 0.6 seconds left. Sheppard made both shots to send it to overtime.

 

In the Overtime

  • TAMU scored the first five points of overtime and never trailed in the extra period.
  • UK missed all eight of its field goal attempts in overtime and didn’t score until 39 seconds left, when Sheppard was fouled on a 3-pointer and made two of three free throws.
