Allen And Kruger Guide Wildcats To Sixth Place Finishes At Crimson Classic

TUSCALOOSA, Ala. – Jake Allen improved his career-high finish in an 8,000-meter race when he, alongside Ally Kruger, guided their respective teams to a pair of sixth place finishes at the Crimson Classic on Friday, October 13th hosted by the University of Alabama.

Held at the Harry Pritchett Running Park, the men’s team scored 152 points while the women’s team scored 380 points in their 6,000-meter race.

Allen crossed the line first for the Wildcats placing in the top 10 for the third consecutive race this season with a time of 23:55.0. Ed Bird placed 15th with a time of 24:17.8 while Harper Moore placed 35th with a time of 24:45.1.

Alex Alston and Jackson Watts closed out the top five finishers for the men’s squad with respective times of 24:57.9 and 24:59.6.

In a similar fashion to Allen, Kruger crossed the line first for the Wildcats for the third consecutive race this season with a time of 20:31.6.

Jenna Schwinghamer placed 30th with a time of 20:59.3 while Phoebe McCowan placed 44th with a time of 21:07.0.

Mollie Roden and Julz Williams closed out the scoring for the Wildcats with respective times of 21:11.9 and 21:15.1.
