SEC Names Jordyn Rhodes Offensive Player of the Week

by Greg Welsh

LEXINGTON, Ky. – Following a two-goal week to help Kentucky women’s soccer earn wins over UT Martin and Illinois, Jordyn Rhodes earned SEC Offensive Player of the Week recognition, it was announced on Monday.

Rhodes scored once in each of Kentucky’s two wins this past week, bringing her 2023 season-total to six, the most goals of any player in the SEC. The graduate-student has scored in all five of UK’s matches this season, giving her a career-best consecutive games scored streak. She also has four-game winning goals on the year, a new career-best mark for a single season.

The honor is the first SEC weekly award for the program since Rhodes won Offensive Player of the Week back in November of 2020.

The South Lebanon, Ohio native is now up to 42 goals scored for her collegiate career, two-behind Kim LaBelle for the program’s all-time record.

Kentucky is back in action at home on Thursday for a 7:30 p.m. first touch against Belmont.
