18 Wildcats Named to WCGA All-America Scholar-Athlete Team for the 2022-23 Academic Year

LEXINGTON, Ky. – The Women’s Collegiate Gymnastics Association (WCGA) announced its All-America Scholar Athlete Team for the 2022-23 academic year on Thursday.

The list featured 18 Kentucky gymnasts with seven earning recognitions for 4.0 grade point averages.

The overall 3.694 team GPA was the highest in the Southeastern Conference and 14th out of all NCAA Division I gymnastics programs. Kentucky improved upon its record-breaking 14 student-athletes on the list in the previous 2021-22 academic year with Team 49’s total of 18.

The Wildcats proved to have the most successful gymnastics season to date, but the best academic year as well.
