Isaac Walker Signs First Team Contract with Charlotte FC

LEXINGTON, Ky. – Senior goalkeeper Isaac Walked has signed a first team Major League Soccer contract with Charlotte FC, the organization announced Monday.

Walker, a native of Orlando, spent one season with the Wildcats after transferring from Western Michigan. The first team contract is the best professional contract signed by any 2022 Wildcats.

“We are really excited for Isaac as he begins his professional career in Charlotte,” Head Coach Johan Cedergren said. “This team is a great fit for him, and we know he will do well.”

The senior saw action in the net in five matches for UK to total 450 minutes in the 2022 campaign. He recorded a 4-0-1 record with 10 saves and only four goals against.

While at Western Michigan, he appeared in 44 total matches over three seasons following a redshirt year in 2018. Walker recorded 16 shutouts and 135 saves as a Bronco.
