Team Records and Series Notes

  • Kentucky is 9-9, 2-6 in the SEC this season, while LSU is 18-4, 6-3 in the league.  
    • This was the 52nd all-time meeting in series history with LSU holding a 35-17 all-time edge.
    • The Tigers own a 16-5 record in games played in Baton Rouge.
    • LSU has won two straight in the PMAC against the Wildcats.
  • Kentucky is in its 48th season with a 872-565 (.607) all-time record.
  • Kyra Elzy is in her second season as the head coach of the Wildcats, holding a 27-17 overall record.
  • Kentucky will be back in action Sunday, Feb. 6 vs. Texas A&M inside Memorial Coliseum. The game will tip at Noon ET on ESPN2 and the UK Sports Network.

  • Kentucky used the starting combination of senior guard Rhyne Howard, redshirt junior center Olivia Owens, junior guard Emma King, sophomore forward Nyah Leveretter, and freshman guard Jada Walker.
    • This is the first time UK has used this starting combination this season.
    • Jada Walker scored first for Kentucky in the game. It was the fourth time this season she has scored first.
    • Nyah Leveretter was the first sub for Kentucky. It was the fourth time she has been the first Wildcat off the bench.
    • LSU won the opening tip. It was the 10th time that UK has lost the opening tip.
  • UK trailed 23-17 at the end of the first quarter.
    • LSU ended the first quarter on a 8-2 run after the game was tied 15-15 with just over 2:00 to play.
    • In the first five minutes of the first quarter, LSU had zero second-chance points, but ended the quarter with 11.
