Kentucky Volleyball Adds Transfer Kelly Franxman to 2022 Roster

LEXINGTON, Ky.– The Kentucky Volleyball team and head coach Craig Skinner announced the addition of Kelly Franxman, a transfer into the University of Kentucky from Xavier University. She will be eligible to compete in the fall of 2022.

Franxman joins Kentucky after playing from 2018-2021 at XU.

In 2021, she played in 25 matches, recording 2.54 kills per set for the Musketeers and hitting .193. The Covington, Kentucky native had 213 kills on over 650 swings for XU, where she also averaged 1.96 digs per set as one of the Big East’s most potent arms.

Last year, she recorded 10+ kills in 11 matches, including the Muskies final six matches of the season, where she logged a season-high 13 terminations in three of her last four matches for XU. Defensively, she had six matches of 10+ digs, and blocked 30 balls on the year.

Franxman (pronounced FRANKS-man) attended Scott High School in Taylor Mill, Kentucky. She is accomplished in the classroom, having been named to the 2018-19, 2019-20, 2020-21 All-Big East Academic Team.
