Kentucky Baseball Looks to Keep Streak Going

by UK Athletics Communications and PR

Coming off the ninth walk-off victory of the coach Nick Mingione era, the Kentucky baseball squad will host Western Michigan this weekend in a three-game series at Kentucky Proud Park.

The Wildcats (4-0) will send junior Cole Stupp to the mound on Friday afternoon, sophomore lefty Magdiel Cotto on Saturday and senior lefty Tyler Bosma on Sunday. The UK bullpen has been outstanding as well, riding 16.0 consecutive scoreless innings.

Senior Oraj Anu capped a ninth-inning rally on Wednesday with a double to right-centerfield that scored Chase Estep from first and gave the Cats a 3-2 win over Bellarmine. Jacob Plastiak hit a two-run home run that tied the game in the ninth before Anu’s heroics.

All three games will be streamed on SECN+ and the radio call will be on UKathletics.com and 98.5 FM locally.
