Play Ball: Kentucky Baseball Opens 2022 Home Season on Wednesday

Fresh off a season-opening, three-game road sweep of Jacksonville State, Kentucky will host its home opener versus Bellarmine at Kentucky Proud Park on Wednesday afternoon.
 
Single-game berm and terrace tickets will remain $2 as part of the “2/22/22” promotion. The Kentucky Proud Park gates will open at 2 p.m. ET. Fans with tickets for the game originally scheduled for Tuesday at 4 p.m. versus Southeast Missouri will now be valid for Wednesday.
 
After howling winds and cold temperatures conspired against the UK pitching staff last Friday, the bullpen posted 12 scoreless innings of relief to cap the series and UK pitchers struck out 35 batters over three games. Sophomore right-hander Seth Logue is expected to draw the midweek start after a stellar fall and preseason.
 
Fans also can get popcorn for $2 at the ballpark to celebrate the opener.
