Kentucky Track & Field Hosts Jim Green Invitational This Weekend
LEXINGTON, Ky. – Kentucky hosts its second indoor meet of the season with the Jim Green Invitational on Friday and Saturday at Nutter Field House. The first event on Friday begins at 1:30 p.m. ET while the first event on Saturday begins at 11 a.m. Admission is free, and the meet is open to the public.
Friday and Saturday’s meet will be the second of three indoor meets hosted by the Wildcats at Nutter Field House across an 11-meet indoor schedule.
Last time out, UK won 21 events at the Jingle Bells Open including Matthew Peare setting a new school record with a pole vault mark of 17’6.5″ (5.35-meters).
Kentucky’s women’s team was ranked No. 10 in the USTFCCCA’s preseason rankings which were released on Wednesday.
Following the Jim Green Invitational, the Wildcats will travel to the Ted Nelson Invitational in College Station, Texas on Jan. 18.
