Kentucky Cross Country Finishes 8th and 13th at NCAA Southeast Regional Championships

CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va.- Kentucky raced in the 2019 NCAA Southeast Regional Championships at Panorama Farms on Friday.
 
The men’s team finished in 13th overall on 366 points in a 10,000-meter competition while the women’s team finished in eighth overall on 291 points over a 6k course.
 
Virginia won the men’s race on 79 points and N.C. State won the women’s race on 48 points.
 
Men’s Team Report
Brennan Fields, who finished 25th in 30:43.8, led the Wildcats to a 13th-place finish.
 
Trevor Warren finished 64th in 31:36.0 to be UK’s No. 2 finisher, while Dylan Allen (79th, 31:53.7) and Aaron Withrow (94th, 32:03.2) were Kentucky’s No. 3 and No. 4 finishers respectively.
 
Gabriel Szalay placed 116th in 32:40.5 to round out the top five finishers on the men’s side.
 
Women’s Team Report
Sophie Carrier led the way for the Wildcats, finishing 33rd in 21:09.7 to help UK earn an eighth-place finish.
 
Kaitlyn Lacy (47th, 21:21.6), Perri Bockrath (70th, 21:47.6) and Rachel Boice (76th, 21:51.6) finished in the No. 2, No. 3 and No. 4 spots for Kentucky.
 
Kaylie Kenne rounded out the top-five for the Wildcats with a 77th-place finish in 21:51.8.
