Kentucky Cross Country Finishes 3rd and 6th at Panorama Farms Invitational
CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va.- Kentucky got back into action on Friday morning in Virginia at the Panorama Farms Invitational hosted by the University of Virginia.
The men’s team finished sixth overall on 159 points in an 8,000-meter competition while the women’s team finished third overall on 143 points over a 6k course.
On the men’s side, Virginia took home the victory with 35 points and Michigan State won the women’s race on 42 points.
The Wildcats will be back in action next Saturday at 9:30 a.m. in Louisville at the Greater Louisville Classic.
Men’s Team Report
Brennan Fields, who finished 16th in 24:27.1, led Kentucky to its sixth-place finish in Virginia.
Trevor Warren finished 21st in 24:43.7 to be the Wildcats’ No. 2 finisher, while Aaron Withrow (39th, 25:04.9) and Dylan Allen (46th, 25:14.6) were UK’s No. 3 and No. 4 finishers respectively.
Finally, Tanner Dowdy placed 54th in 25:21.3 to round out the top-5 finishers on the men’s side.
Women’s Team Report
Perri Bockrath led the way for the women’s team, finishing 20th in 21:23.1 to help Kentucky earn a third-place finish.
Kaitlyn Lacy (25th, 21:34.5), Sophie Carrier (32nd, 21:46.1) and Kaylie Kenne (36th, 21:51.7) finished in the No. 2, No. 3 and No. 4 spots for the Wildcats.
Caitlin Shepard rounded out the top-5 for UK with a 47th-place finish in 22:15.1.
