Wildcats to Compete in FineMark FGCU Collegiate Open

LEXINGTON, Ky. – The Kentucky men’s tennis team is set to head to the Bonita Bay Club in Bonita Springs, Florida, for the weekend to compete in the 2018 FineMark FGCU Collegiate Open – hosted by Florida Gulf Coast University – as part of its ongoing fall slate in preparation for the 2019 spring season.
 
The Wildcats are one of six Division I teams competing in the event: Arkansas, FGCU, Illinois, Louisville and Memphis.
 
Play will begin Friday at 12:30 p.m. and run through Sunday. UK’s first match will be Friday at 4 p.m. ET as they take on FGCU. The Wildcats will face Memphis on Saturday at 12:30 p.m. before rounding out the event with a matchup against Illinois and Louisville at 9 a.m. on Sunday.
 
UK will take the lineup of Eastern Kentucky junior transfer, Parth Aggarwal, and freshmen Arthur Chen, Kevin Huempfner and Fabian Penzkofer.
 
Tournament Schedule
 
Friday                    FGCU vs. Arkansas/Kentucky – 4 p.m. ET
Saturday              Memphis vs. Arkansas/Kentucky – 12:30 p.m. ET
Sunday                 Illinois/Louisville vs. Arkansas/Kentucky – 9 a.m. ET
