Kentucky Volleyball Television Schedule Released

by Mike Scholze

LEXINGTON, Ky. – The Southeastern Conference revealed its television schedule Wednesday, featuring 43 SEC volleyball matches on the SEC Network and the ESPN family of networks. Kentucky will appear in at least seven of those contests.

All of Kentucky’s seven televised matches are against conference opponents. UK’s home match with No. 7 Florida (Oct. 31) and at Arkansas (Nov. 14) will air on ESPNU, while the other five matches – at Tennessee (Sept. 23), vs. Missouri (Sept. 30), vs. Tennessee (Oct. 10), vs. Ole Miss (Oct. 14) and at LSU (Oct. 19) – will be shown on the SEC Network.

Kentucky’s road match at Missouri on Nov. 18 is a “Wildcard Date,” and has the potential to be picked up on the SEC Network. The network will have the opportunity to select the most compelling matches during a critical point in the season. The match time is slated for 4 p.m. ET, with the option to air announced at a later time.

In addition to the televised events, all of UK’s home matches and select conference matches will be available for live streaming through the WatchESPN app on tablets and mobile devices. Fans can also watch the action online at espn.go.com/watchespn.

Kentucky returns two All-America honorees – Leah Edmond and Madison Lilley – to a team that was picked to win the SEC in the league’s annual Coaches’ Poll. Edmond and Lilley were joined by Avery Skinner on the Preseason All-SEC team. Last season, the Wildcats won three NCAA Tournament matches for the first time in program history, taking down ETSU, WKU and BYU. UK spilt a share of the SEC Championship with Florida and ended the season with a 29-4 record after garnering a No. 4 overall national seed in the NCAA Tournament.

With the announcement of the television schedule, times for all matches are set. The full schedule can be found here.
