TERRE HAUTE, Ind. – The UK cross country teams’  final regular-season tune-up before postseason begins will come on Saturday at the Pre-National Invitational in Terre Haute, Ind.

The meet will be broadcast live online via Flotrack’s subscription service, and fans can also follow along via the United States Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association’s (USTFCCCA) results wall.

Pre-Nationals will feature six women’s top-30 teams, and eight men’s top-30 squads and serve as a preview of next month’s NCAA Championships, which will be held on the same course — the LaVern Gibson Championship Cross Country Course.

Pre-Nationals will feature 158 teams and over 1,600 athletes competing in six races this Saturday. Action begins with the Women’s Blue 6,000-meter race at 11:00 a.m. (ET) followed by the Men’s 8K Blue Race at (11:35 a.m.).

The UK women’s team was ranked 11th within the Southeast Region last week, while the men checked in at 15th.

UK was in action two weeks ago at the Greater Louisville Classic. Lou Styles led a small crew of Wildcats who competed in Louisville with a third-place finish in the second-tier “blue” race.

The rest of the Wildcats competed at the end of September at the Minnesota Griak Invitational. The UK women’s team has been led this year by Freshman Aundrea Busse.

She owns the eighth-best 5K time in the conference this year, 16:50.90 recorded at the home Bluegrass Invitational, where she finished third. Katy Kunc’s 5K time of 17:02.90 ranks 13th in the SEC.

The UK men’s team has some of the better SEC 5K performances this season as Mackay Wilson’s 15:36.92 ranks ninth in the league. Mick Iacofano 16:47.74 ranks 11th, while Jared Phillips and James Brown both have SEC top-20 5K times this year.

UK has also found success in the 8K as Lou Styles’ 24:25.27 ranks 11th in the conference.

UK will compete at the SEC Championships in Tuscaloosa, Alabama on Friday, Oct. 31.
