Kentucky is 11-1 and Loyola-Maryland is 8-3.
This was the first meeting between UK and Loyola-Maryland. The Wildcats are 14-0 all-time against teams from the current configuration of the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference, including 2-0 this season.
After the Christmas break, Kentucky continues the five-game homestand Wednesday, Dec. 28 at 8:30 p.m. vs. Lamar. The game will be televised on ESPNU.

From there, Kentucky coasted to an 87-63 win.

Kentucky shot 53.8 percent from the field, making 28 of 52 shots. It’s the seventh time this season that the Wildcats made at least half their shots in a game.
Kentucky made 28 of 37 free throws, season highs in both categories.

The Wildcats extended their home winning streak to 42 games, the second-longest active streak in the nation. The run includes the 2009 NIT game at Memorial Coliseum and the last 41 games at Rupp Arena.
UK is a perfect 41-0 under Coach John Calipari at Rupp Arena, the longest win streak in venue history.
UK owns a 467-60 all-time record in Rupp Arena.

Darius Miller notched 13 points his third-straight game in double figures.
Michael Kidd-Gilchrist had 15 points, reaching double-figure scoring for the fifth-straight game.
