LEXINGTON ? Ryan Wilkes sacrifice fly in the eighth inning drove in the game-winning run in a 3-2 victory and gave the Blue a 3-1 UK Baseball Fall World Series victory over the Black.

With the Blue trailing 2-1 going into the seventh and final inning, the team loaded the bases and got an RBI ground out from Brian Hastings to send the game to extra innings.

In the eighth, the Blue again loaded the bases to set up Wilkes game-winner.

The Black took a quick 1-0 lead with a sacrifice fly in the first that scored Mike Brown, who had doubled. The blue knotted the game in the 5th Michael Bertram?s RBI ground out.

In the sixth, Matt McKinney laced a solo home run to left to regain the advantage for the black. It was the game?s only run scored on a hit as the other four came on sac flies and groundouts.

Junior Andrew Albers earned the win for the Blue after allowing just one run in four innings. Sophomore Greg Dombrowski picked up the save by hurling the final four innings.

For the Black, senior Aaron Tennyson left with the lead after throwing four shutout frames. Chris Rusin took the loss after allowing three runs ? only one earned ? in the final four innings.
