LEXINGTON ? Ground has been broken at Cliff Hagan Stadium as the Kentucky baseball program?s facility is in the process of being improved for the 2005 season.

Topping the project list is a brand-new bullpen pavilion with batting cages that will serve as the home-team bullpen during games. The covered area will feature ample room for pitchers to warm up during games as well as an excellent practice facility for both pitchers and hitters.

The stadium facelift will continue with the extension of brick wall all the way down the right-field line, matching the one on the opposite side of the field. The home dugout is also being enhanced.

Construction on all the new items is expected to be completed by the Wildcats home opener against Buffalo on Feb. 25.
