LEXINGTON, Ky. – The fourth-ranked Kentucky rifle team will look to build off its bounce-back performance from last weekend, when it hosts seventh-ranked Murray State in a clash between top-10 teams on Friday.
The action will begin at 1 p.m. ET inside the Buell Armoury. Air rifle will start at 3:30 with fans welcome to watch on the range.
UK won its fourth-straight, 4677-4607, over No. 15 Tennessee-Martin last Sunday at home.
The Wildcats outscored UT-Martin 2313-2279 in smallbore. UK sealed the win with a 2364 total in air rifle, compared to UT-Martin’s 2328.
Kentucky has four top-25 wins this season, over No. 12 Navy, No. 14 Akron, No. 17 NC State and No. 15 UT-Martin.
The Wildcats moved from 10th in the national rankings last week, to fourth in the Collegiate Rifle Coaches Association (CRCA) poll earlier this week after the win over UT-Martin.
Fans will be able enter the shooting range once air rifle begins, but they are asked to remain upstairs during smallbore due to space concerns.
Live scoring will be available at UKrifle.com.
UK will host No. 15 Army on Sunday beginning at 8 a.m. ET.
UK rifle fans can take advantage of free breakfast during the competition on Sunday in the upstairs portion of Buell Armoury. Live scoring will be projected on a big screen for those taking advantage of the free food and drinks.
