Kentucky Baseball Hosts No. 14 Georgia in Weekend Series
Kentucky opens the home portion of its Southeastern Conference schedule on Friday evening as No. 14 Georgia comes to town looking to continue its hot start.
Action begins on Friday at 6:30 p.m. ET, followed by Saturday at 2 p.m. and Sunday at noon. Friday and Saturday’s games will be streamed on SECN+, with Sunday nationally televised on the SEC Network. The radio call will be on UKathletics.com and the UK Sports Network.
Junior Cole Stupp, a Georgia native who pitched a career game at Georgia last season, will get the baseball on Friday night with new starter Darren Williams taking the mound on Saturday. Georgia ace Jonathan Cannon will oppose Stupp in what promises to be a barnburner in the opener.
On Friday, the first 1,000 fans will receive a UK grilling apron. On Saturday, all fans in attendance will be entered into a raffle to win one of three UK baseball Nike “Air Max” shoes, customized by True Blue Customs and on Sunday the first 250 fans in attendance will receive the first set of 2022 trading cards. In addition, at each SEC home game, two contestants will be selected and each have one shot to win $5,000 at cornhole.
