2022 June Kentucky Volleyball Camps

• SERVING CAMP – June 1

This camp is designed to focus solely on serving the volleyball. Learn how to be aggressive from behind the line the Kentucky way! This camp will focus on various techniques of serving, along with improving consistency, and finding the serve that best fits your game. Players will receive maximum repetitions within the 3-hour period. You will learn and improve through drill work, challenging games, and demonstrations from the UK players.
Registration: 12-1pm
Camp: 1-4pm

CAMPER FEE • $80

Camp will be held in Memorial Coliseum and Joe Craft Center. All campers will receive a camp T-shirt. All individual camps are designed for those entering 5-12 grades. Space is limited so register early.

Full payment is due at online registration. There is a $30 processing fee for cancellations.

• ONE DAY ALL SKILLS CAMP – June 2 & June 3

This one-day camp focuses on developing skills in all aspects of the game.  Campers will watch a demo on each skill followed by an on-court training segment.  These skills will include passing, serving, attacking, digging, and setting.  Because of the short duration of the camp, the majority of the time will be spent completing drill work.  Campers will be divided by age to begin the camp with a possibility of dividing more by ability to conclude the day.

• ELITE PROSPECT CAMP – June 6 & June 7

Both Kentucky Volleyball Elite Prospect Camps are designated for female athletes’ grade 8-12 with extensive club volleyball experience.  They are structured to give campers a look at what it takes to play collegiate volleyball at the highest level.  The one-day camps will consist of two on-court sessions that will emulate Kentucky Volleyball practices, and two-off court sessions that will teach campers what it’s like to be a Division 1 student-athlete.  Participants should have the goal to play in college and beyond.  Camp space will be limited, and players will be accepted into this specialized camp until filled by position.

• DEFENSE AND PASSING CAMP – July 6

This camp is solely designed for fundamental skill development surrounding first contact.  Campers will focus on serve receive technique, defensive technique, serving, and overall ball control.  The camp is for any player who strives to improve this area of the game regardless of position.  Campers will receive maximum repetitions through drill work and competitions.

Camp: 9am-4pm

• SETTER CAMP – July 7

This one-day camp is designed for fundamental skill development at the setting position. Setters will focus on setting technique, footwork, game strategy and ball control. Campers will receive maximum repetitions through drill work and competitions.

• HITTER CAMP – July 8

This camp is solely designed for fundamental skill development of hitters in all positions. This one-day intense camp will focus on attacking technique, footwork and developing shots. Campers will receive many repetitions at each of the attacking positions. To end the day, they will be divided by skill and placed in groups where they will improve and be challenged.

• TWO-DAY ELITE SKILLS CAMP – July 9-10

This two-day comprehensive camp focuses on challenging each camper to take their game to the next level. Campers will be divided by skill and work with the coaches to enhance their knowledge of the game and improve their skill set. Serving, passing, attacking, defense, blocking, setting, team transition and team competition will be taught throughout the camp.
Registration: 11:30am-1pm (Saturday only)

Saturday – 1-8pm
Sunday – 9am-4pm

CAMPER FEE • $280 (dinner Saturday, lunch Sunday included)

TEAM CAMP

• HIGH SCHOOL TEAM CAMP – July 12-14

Must call (859) 257-2532 to reserve a spot!

This camp’s balance between competition and team training will give each team and coach a great opportunity to prepare for the upcoming season. Fundamental skill training and ample amounts of team situations and scrimmages will fill each day. We will provide you with a top coach to train and coach your team. Each school will participate in a tournament on the final day of camp. Team Camp is open to high school varsity and junior varsity teams and must be accompanied by a coach.

TEAM FEE • $300 (covers head coach lodging and meals)
UK Camp provides a head coach to train and coach your school. This fee allows one high school coach to accompany team. (Fee also includes meals & lodging). $300 school fee is non-refundable.
CAMPER FEE • $370 (lodging and meals included)
ADDITIONAL COACH FEE • $175 (lodging and meals included)

JV teams may accompany Varsity; minimum of 9 players per team.
School fee must be paid ASAP after reservation has been made to officially register school.
HS coach will need to gather all camper registrations, camper fees and medical forms.

OVERNIGHT CAMPER POLICY
All UK Athletic Camps require that the campers must be at least 12 years old at the start of that camp to stay overnight in any UK facility.

• LIL’ CATS CAMP – July 18-19

This two-day camp focuses on introducing the game of volleyball to boys and girls, ages 4-10. It will give campers the opportunity to learn the sport in a fun atmosphere with our collegiate players. Fundamentals will be taught in creative ways, and campers will learn to play volleyball the Kentucky way!
Registration: 8-9am (Monday only)
Camp: 9-11:30am (Monday and Tuesday)

CAMPER FEE • $70

• BOYS CAMP – July 20

This camp is designed for boys of all levels who are looking to improve their skills.  Boys’ volleyball is growing at a rapid rate in western and central Kentucky – we are aiming to meet the needs of those just starting to play volleyball and those who are experienced.  The camp will focus on all skills of the game including passing, serving, setting, attacking, defending, and blocking.  At the end of the camp, athletes will be placed into teams for competition.
