Mitch Barnhart Podcast Launches

LEXINGTON, Ky. – University of Kentucky Athletics Director Mitch Barnhart has joined the world of podcasting. The Mitch Barnhart Podcast launched on Friday.
 
“This podcast a way to further connect our fans to our student-athletes, coaches and staff,” Barnhart said. “I see this as an opportunity to give new insight into the way we operate and the quality of the people who represent this university and the people of Kentucky. I look forward to some interesting conversations with some special people.”
 
Barnhart will host one guest during each weekly episode, with most guests directly tied to UK Athletics and ranging from coaches to support staff to student-athletes and beyond. Barnhart’s first guest is Craig Skinner, who last year led the Kentucky volleyball program to its first Southeastern Conference championship in three decades and this year has a team ranked No. 5 in the preseason. The Wildcats will open the season on Friday with a pair of matches against No. 13 Creighton and No. 10 USC.
 
Next week, Kentucky football head coach Mark Stoops will join Barnhart ahead of the Wildcats’ season opener on Sept. 1.
