Liam Draxl Scores Huge Win Over No. 32 Arthur Rinderknech

QUEBEC CITY, Canada – Former Kentucky men’s tennis player Liam Draxl (CAN) scored the biggest win of his singles career Friday afternoon as he defeated No. 32 in the world, Arther Rinderknech (FRA), in the Davis Cup qualifiers.

Draxl won the match in straight sets, 6-2, 7-5 in a convincing hour and 44 minutes on court as he scored the huge result for Team Canada. Draxl converted three of his 10 break point opportunities in the match, while limiting Rinderknech to only three break points in the match, in which he converted on none of them against Draxl. Draxl served at a 73 percent clip with Rinderknech serving 10 points lower at 63 percent.

For Team Canada, Felix Auger-Aliassime (CAN) plays Quentin Halys (FRA) in the night session match with Draxl playing Halys on Saturday afternoon at 5 p.m. ET.
