Prior to UK: Transferring from Clemson University, Costa has progressed through a diverse soccer journey that includes youth training across Canada and Europe, giving him a strong tactical foundation and high-level comfort on the ball. Costa began his development in Canada with Serbian White Eagles, Sigma FC, and Rush Canada SA before spending formative years in the Panathinaikos FC academy in Greece. His international background has helped shape him into a well-rounded midfielder capable of influencing the game in multiple phases, whether dictating tempo, progressing play, or contributing in the final third. Since signing with Toronto FC II, Costa has continued his development in MLS NEXT Pro, gaining valuable experience in a competitive environment and competing against top young
talent. His exposure to different playing styles and competitive levels has strengthened his adaptability and overall game intelligence.

Off the field, Costa plans to study Business at the University of Kentucky, demonstrating his commitment to excelling both academically and athletically
