LEXINGTON, Ky. – Kentucky women’s tennis is set to begin postseason play on Wednesday at the SEC Women’s Tennis Championship, as the Wildcats enter the tournament as the No. 15 seed and will face No. 10 seed Ole Miss Rebels women’s tennis in the opening round.
First serve is scheduled for 1 p.m. ET/12 p.m. CT in Norman, Oklahoma at the Headington Family Tennis Center, with this year’s SEC Championship being hosted by the University of Oklahoma.
The winner of this match will advance to the second round to face No. 7 seed Vanderbilt.
Kentucky enters the SEC Championship looking to build momentum against a conference opponent they are familiar with after facing a challenging slate throughout the regular season.
Ole Miss, the tournament’s No. 10 seed, presents a tough matchup, bringing depth and experience into Wednesday’s contest. The Wildcats met the Rebels on Saturday for senior day, where they fell 4-0 in Lexington.
The Wildcats will aim to carry their competitive play into postseason action as they seek a strong showing in the league tournament beginning Wednesday.
