ATLANTA – The three Wildcats that made it to Atlanta, Ga. for the 2026 NCAA Swimming & Diving Championship made a splash today, with a pair of divers in Avery Giese and Kristy Pfaff finishing top 40 in the country on the 1-meter and senior Fernanda De Goeij completing her collegiate career on the nation’s biggest stage.

De Goeij, a senior from Brazil, found herself qualifying for the event last week as she got notice that she had been selected as an alternate in the 400 IM. In her preliminary race this morning, De Goeij took the pool one last time while representing the blue and white. She finished as the 44th best 400 IM’er in the country with a 4:18.57.

On the boards, Giese and Pfaff finished in the top 40 on the 1-meter. Pfaff scored a 245.55 for 35th, while Giese dove a 241.10 for 40th.

While De Goeij marks the last of the swimmer’s time at the 2026 NCAA Swimming & Diving Championship, Pfaff will take on the 3-meter dive tomorrow. Dive prelims are set to begin around noon ET, with finals later at 6 p.m. ET.
