Martin Voss Wins Prestigious Elite 90 Award at NCAA Rifle Championships
LEXINGTON, Ky. – University of Kentucky rifle student-athlete Martin Voss is the recipient of the prestigious Elite 90 award for the 2026 NCAA Division I Rifle Championship.
Voss, a sports leadership major, currently carries a perfect 4.0 GPA and was presented with the award during the NCAA Division I Rifle Championships team banquet Wednesday night. Voss is a three-year member of the Southeastern Conference Academic Honor Roll and has been UK’s Great America Rifle Conference Scholar-Athlete of the Year each of the last three seasons.
The Elite 90, an award founded by the NCAA, recognizes the true essence of the student-athlete by honoring the individual who has reached the pinnacle of competition at the national championship level in his or her sport, while also achieving the highest academic standard among his or her peers. The Elite 90 is presented to the student-athlete with the highest cumulative grade-point average participating at the finals site for each of the NCAA’s championships.

Voss will be one of five teammates to compete in the national championships this season for Kentucky. On the year, he is averaging 582.833 in smallbore and 590.083 in air rifle for a 1172.916 aggregate average. He has been a part of UK setting and eclipsing several NCAA records this season as a team.
